Rinrin Xara by dragonaur Rinrin Xara by dragonaur
Well, after that last "Xarafurita" sketch, I don't know that I want to try to draw ever again! >_< Buuut, as I'm on a puffy shoulder pad jag at the moment, I ended up visiting Rinrin's outfit from "Steam Detectives" by Kia Asamiya.

Now, I know maids are all the rage, but I thought nurse Rinrin's outfit was especially cute. I mean, look at the size of that bow! It's soooo fluffy! >_< Her sister Ranran was her mirror image but more sinister with a dress being mostly black material. Ringring was in love, for the most part, with Narutaki the hero of the series and Rangrang was her wayward sister who was in love with a villain of the series Lu Bread.

I felt "Steam Detectives" was particularly well written with shorter story arc's typically featuring one particular villain at a time and up to three stories per manga! My favorite villain was Ms Benasasori. A very attractive older villainess! Tho' Dr. Guilty and Baron the Machine were great too!

alternately the names are sometimes translated as 'ling-ling' and 'Lang-lang'. The Japanese (and most Asian cultures) don't have separate sounds for 'L' and 'R'.

I loved the manga to. The anime, not so much.... ^_^

I've even seen it translated as Ring-Ring and Rang-Rang! But thinking about it LinLin is familiar, but the furigana on the pages I have is "ri" so she'll always be "Rinrin" to me! ^_^

But I've never seen the anime.
