Until I get a new forum, I'm thinking I'll post a panel of the latest comic and give you the low down right here. You know I love narrating each page, and this page is no different. But, hold it! Just what is this page? Right now it's the front page. I'll update the link below to 20070127.htm when I update to the next page.

I'm very excited about this page. Tho' it still has numerous flaws. It's got a great sketch of Xara's rea... Er I mean there's lots of action on the page! First of all Jackie wanted to make her escape. Now, I'm sure if they let felon's compete in Tournament, there was no way for Jackie to really get away, right? We'll never know. She lingered just a little too long. Laurence can be fast when he needs to be!

It must be a wild ride in the matter displacement spell, Xara's going to hurl. And what's all that junk coming with her? The teddy bear is "shmoofy." The creation of hpk [link] It's an experiment [link] to see just where the heck the little guy can show up in a comic. As you know I've become more and more light hearted in my old age and so I've included him along with the other floatsam whizzing down the displacement tube.

It sure looked like a hard fall for Xara. Once again on her face! This seems to be the way she lands when under the influence of magic spells. It was the same landing when she went to see her father. On the ground Xara looks uncharacteristically well drawn as she get's up off the floor. I'm not sure how I was able to work out all the pieces but I think she looks great!

And lastly look who's back. It's Arai! The scheming snake sorcerer. Long ago, Laurence lectured Xara to stay away from him. How many times have your parents told you to stay away from somebody? Arai is looking for a new vassel for his demon concubine Rhea. You might recall the recent flash back where Rhea blew up Trista trying to posses her! And it was all Xara's fault.

All in all it was a fun page. With a fun range of emotion and interesting layouts. I wish every page would end up like this one.

So here we are! Back at the beginning! Xara and Arai. And Rhea too. It's going to be two against one! Poor Xara. This isn't going to be easy on her. She's had no magic lessons, she's still weak from her "reversion" accident and she's tired from her battle with Jackie. This does not look good. My plan is to attempt to wrap this up in 16 pages or so. Now, that's still 4 months. But I don't want you to wait forever to find out what happens. I think with a little planning, now that I've got some free time, I'll be able to pull this off without a hitch.
